Bovay Seminar Series: GenAI for Teaching and Learning Community of Practice

We are inviting instructors across disciplines to come together as a community of practice to build expertise around teaching in the age of Generative AI. These monthly lunches provide a great opportunity to learn more about GenAI as it applies to multiple disciplines, hear what other instructors have tried, ask questions and share ideas, and learn about the interests of those thinking about, teaching with (or against), and researching GenAI at Cornell. Refreshments will be provided. At this meeting, we will hear from Sang Leigh, Assistant Professor in Human Centered Design at Cornell Human Ecology. Title: Designing Making with AI Description: Machine Poetics Lab explores designerly making of AI objects that challenge dominant narratives around the technology. Sang Leigh, who directs the lab, shares his research and teaching practice that investigates AI as a creative and critical design medium.
